This practice pays special attention to your throat chakra, our center of communication, by toning it, lengthening it, and making use of vocalization. We build toward a posture that prepares the body for the kapotasana backbend of Ashtanga’s 2nd series.
Other playful work includes: handstand press drills, handstand opportunities, vatayasana variation (a camel with half lotus), puppy press handstand at the wall, reclined virasana (the deep hip flexor & quad stretch), foot-behind-the-head invitation.
