As I approach the last year of my 40s, there are still poses I want to reach—not just for the poses themselves, but for what getting there might unlock: more openness and freedom in my body, release, greater ease, and perhaps some of the physical or energetic places I’m still holding onto. I feel like moving through those barriers might reveal an even deeper layer of the medicine that yoga has always been for me. The pose isn’t really the prize; it’s what might become available through the process of reaching it.
I know yoga serves me no matter what I’m practicing but I’m excited by what’s just beyond my reach, which is exactly why I’ve been loving this month’s schedule. It covers so much ground while feeling really intentional, progressively training us toward fuller variations of so many of my favorite poses. This variety and sense of progression feel like exactly what I need.
Thank you for creating such a thoughtful progression for us!
