Beginning at the top of the mat, this flow encourages you to move intuitively. The guiding principle here is that the body usually knows what it needs if we only tune in and give it a chance to lead. You’ll progress through a balancing sequence into various shapes — some conventional, some pretty wild. On the whole, you’re encouraged to execute the poses in a way that feels good (honoring the sthira /sukha balance).
The inversion is a funky headstand on fingertips. The backbend is a Camel practice at the wall that prepares you (eventually) for Kapotasana, a challenging 2nd series Ashtanga backbend where you grab both heels.
