Two for two. Was in this mode during the holidays so feeling nicely aligned with this month’s focus. Today’s amazing Sparkle class reminded me how much I still want to work on the pinnacle poses from last year. I can always drop into those classes here and there this month, but it made me wonder if an add-on workshop class could be a nice option for focused training. Just thinking out loud. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year, Lauren! Which pinnacle poses are you (or other folks if you’re reading) looking to work on? The dropback? Anything else?
Definitely dropbacks and standing up. For example, before the end of Supple, Baby (which I love), I added the jump-thru practice from Stable Navel. Since I was already tiptoeing to the top of my mat during Supple, I wanted to carry that momentum into jump-thru work. Really, it could be any or all of the pinnacle poses you bring to class—I’m working on being able to access them fluidly during class. Here’s a quick list: handstand, truer entry to king pigeon, middle splits, press pincha w both legs, shoulder stand from wide legs, partridge.
