An Unfolding

Yoga polishes off that which we are not. Behind the accumulation of conditioning, memory, thought and defenses, we are each radiant beings — at one with all that is. This and all of these practices help you metabolize the gritty stuff so that what remains is the shiny gem of your spirit self manifest.

Beginning with kapalbhati pranayama, we move into an all-fours sequence, standing sequences, and eventually tackle some shapes such as a headstand variation, pigeon backbends, and wheel.

In my humble estimation, this is a solid go-to practice that covers most of the traditional territory without being overly deep. It provides a healthy but non-intimidating challenge. Let me know how you’re doing!

  1. OMG, I got my backbend back!!!!!!!! Yippee. It was my thing and I could drop into one and out of one at, well, a drop of a hat. Flash forward 100 years and it was gone–until now. Can I say this is now my favorite class of yours?!?
